A residence steeped in history, year 1261 An authentic experience
Just a stone's throw from the Palais des Papes, you'll find our home with its original architectural features, built on the remains of the Augustinian monastery, which began construction in 1261, well before the Palais des Papes in 1335. Martin Luther, an Augustinian monk, is said to have stayed here during his visit to Avignon in the early 16th century. The Augustin bell tower at the foot of our property is further evidence of the existence of the Augustin church, which was partially dismantled and sold off in lots after the French Revolution. Lovers of stone will be seduced by the exceptional character of this recently renovated building.
